Claire Fowler awarded Faculty Honours at Columbia

Congratulations to Claire Fowler (BFA 1998-2001), who has been awarded Faculty Honours at Columbia University, New York, for her film Snapper.
“Snapper” tells the story of 15 year old Mali, her 18 month old daughter, Katie, and tyrannical mum, Sivonne, who live in a caravan in the middle of a field in North Wales after being ostracized from their travelling community.

Claire went to Columbia as a Fulbright Scholar 2008-9 after studying at the Ruskin and the RCA. Her graduation film “Mum’s not in” will be screened at the IFC Center, New York on Thursday 28 April.
